Your experiences with PGX Daily fiber supplement?
Has anyone used these fiber pills/powder? They are marketed as “all natural” and “stimulant free.” I have a friend who has been using them (2 pills before lunch and dinner) and she has lost 10 lbs in the past month. She says it has cut her portion size in half and she has also started an exercise program in the past 2 weeks (She’s following guidelines from the PGX website).

Anyway, I have some baby weight that I am trying to get rid of (I have a 10 month old daughter) and, along with diet and exercise, I was thinking of adding this supplement to my routine. I hope I am not completely naive to think that it is JUST a diet supplement. For example: I have been taking Omega 3-6-9 for my knee for years (works wonders). Is it such a bad thing to give your fiber intake a little nudge, as well?

Has anyone added this supplement to their routine and what have your experiences been?…Please no rude comments like: Stop eating or put the fork down, etc…It’s not a nice thing to say to someone with some baby weight to lose (or anyone else for that matter!).

PS Sorry this is a re-post, I originally added it to the category that Yahoo suggested but now searching other people’s questions on the same topic, I suspect this is also an appropriate place to post this.
Thank-you for your reply, Eddy. I don’t want to be dependent on this product for all of my fiber needs but I am thinking of using it to supplement. As I mentioned with my Omega pills-I don’t know if I could eat enough foods containing those same Omegas to have a therapeutic level in my body (arthritis in my knee due to several dislocations over the years). I’m just wondering if PGX could/should be used to supplement what I am already eating fiber-wise and if it will aid in “feeling full” and a little weight loss.

PS I have been a vegetarian for 12 years (since I was 16 yrs old). I eat a fair amount of beans, lentils, carrots etc.

This appears to be nothing more than a soluble fiber supplement.
You can get the same results eating foods high in soluble fiber plus you get the nutrients and the antioxidant benefits of many of them like many types of beans for example.
For pennies a day instead of high priced capsules.
Good luck.
