Washing Your Face
You may think after a long day all you want to do is fall into bed and sleep, but adding one beauty regimen in before you drift off into dream land can save your skin. Washing your face at night before you go to bed is one of the most beneficial things you can do for your skin. It’s the first thing people see when they meet you and you only get one face so take care of it. Really who wants to go around with gross looking skin? After reading this I’m sure the answer will be no one.
If you don’t wash your face at night it won’t age you 10 years overnight or instantly make you break out, but it’s not something you want to get into the habit of doing. Night time when your sleeping is when your body gets a chance to do all the things it doesn’t have a chance to when you’re awake. When you sleep your skin, especially the skin on your face and neck, has a chance to go through the metabolic process that it needs to so it can target your problem areas. Using a good acne face wash at night is important.
Your skin produces oil all the time, so if you’re going to sleep with all the natural oil on your face, plus the oil from your make-up, plus the oil from touching your face all day then eventually all of that is going to clog your pores and cause acne over a longer period of time. Another good thing to get in the habit of is preventative care, of course for younger girls that aren’t worried about wrinkles taking off your make-up at night might not seem like a big deal. If you don’t care of your skin now it’s not going to look good in the future either. If you just take a second to wipe off all that make-up and oil you’ll be thanking yourself 10 years from now.
If you still insist on sleeping with sparkles on then to might want to think about the risk of infection. If oil based make-up or make-up with glitter in it got into your eye you can risk infections like pink eye and even corneal ulcers. Both of the conditions would need medical attention afterwards. Eyes are extremely sensitive and can’t handle wearing the same make-up day after day without consequence. The easiest thing is washing your face at night obviously.
Although a full routine (wash, exfoliate, moisturize, tone) every night would do wonders, all that’s really necessary is washing the make-up and build up off. Some companies even make wipes so you can just wipe it off and toss the wipe. Most young women take for granted what washing your face at night can do, and most older women wish they could reverse time by just washing their faces. So the choice is up to you do you want to take an extra 5 minutes a day now or regret it years from now?
Next time we will have to talk about an acne body wash.
