Do i need sensa trac struts or will standard do the job?
Definitely need to replace the strut mounts. Figured i would just get the complete kit with mounts, struts, and springs included. Are they difficult to replace yourself?

Any decent quality struts will do. The auto parts store will tell you what type of struts are used on your vehicle.

Struts are a big pain to replace and can be dangerous too because you have to compress or squeeze a spring that is strong enough to hold your car up! But as long as you have a STRUT SPRING COMPRESSOR and some hand tools, then you should be able to do the job. I hate replacing struts, but I do it for money anyway!

Also if the kit you are talking about comes with the struts & springs put together already then go for it. It will make your job so much easier!

If you’ve never actually seen it done and don’t have the proper tools you’ll be sorry you ever started the job. You should buy a Haynes or Chilton’s auto repair book on your specific car and then decide if you want to tackle the job. Library’s are filled with Chilton’s and Motors Manual repair book for your specific car. Monroe & Gabriel struts are nothing to write home about. KYB, Bilstein and Koni are far better. None of these cost much more than the OEM units that came on the car.

Mistake #2 is even considering Monroe “Quick Struts” the coil spring rate will be all wrong for your car. They will jack the car up higher than when it was new. Advance Auto has exact replacement TRW Springs, Carquest has Moog Coils, AC-Delco distributors has the best stock replacement soil springs money can buy. AC-Delco springs are made by Spicer.

You’ll cry if you see the hydraulic strut coil spring compressor tools new car dealerships and most repair shops have.
